About Us
We're Dr. (Mrs.) Alex and Mr. Alex -- yes, we have the same name. Dr. Alex is a family physician and certified lactation counselor. Mr. Alex is a mechanical engineer. Together we have two sweet, exhausting, loving, and energetic children.
Both of our children brought their own lactation challenges. I was a medical student when I had our first baby and a family medicine resident when we had our second. I had access to evidence-based resources and knowledgeable mentors that most new mothers do not. These experiences carved a special place in my heart, as I have dedicated a portion of my family practice to seeing mothers and infants during this vulnerable time.
Mr. Alex deserves an honorary medical degree for sticking out seven years of medical training and helping to raise two small children. He is trained in mechanical engineering and brings a level of technical and logistical expertise to the table.
As if we weren't busy enough with two careers and two rambunctious children, we sought out to create Lake Erie Milk, a reliable and trusted resource for all things lactation. By combining our talents, we hope to provide access to information and products that will assist in your lactation journey!
